After her first show of paintings with Problem Library, Arrival-Departure in June of 2018, Catherine Ko Chen began a series of work in vastly greater scale and dimension. Through conversations with The East Cut Community Benefit District, Problem Library proposed use of 302 Folsom St. as a temporary studio for the artist to work with the space necessary to further her evolving practice.

Facilitating the use of space became the first iteration of the [working] program. A launch event was held on December 13th, 2018.
