Join us tomorrow for a lively talk on growth and change with Stephanie Cheng

Tomorrow from 6–9pm: A Creative Life with Stephanie Cheng

We invite you to join us tomorrow, Thursday, March 20, for a lively talk and presentation with Stephanie Cheng.

Over the past two decades, Stephanie has developed resilient internal frameworks for getting unstuck. Whether in a job, a relationship, or a pattern of behavior, her approach calls for honest self-inquiry, the tenacity to confront rejection, and a willingness to leap into the unknown.

By actively following her intuition, Stephanie has built a dynamic and globe-trotting career—from DreamWorks to Netflix, founding a video game company to working on presidential campaigns, an MBA at MIT to a culinary fellowship in Spain. Each pivot has shaped, tested, and refined her theory of professional growth and creative exploration—the value of pivoting.

Stephanie now teaches her theory to business students at UC Berkeley—tomorrow night she will share it with us. Her lively stories about facing risk, embracing imagination, and pursuing meaningful growth illuminate how we can embrace change as a creative act, dream with wild abandon, and move with intention through our own unfolding.

We will have a limited number of tickets available at the door, so we encourage you to purchase yours today. If ticket prices are too steep for you, please reach out and we’ll figure something out.

Friday from 5–8pm: The Spring Inner Sunset Art Walk

This Friday evening we’ll be open for the Inner Sunset Art Walk, a seasonal event hosted by Hunt & Gather, the Inner Sunset Merchants Association, and Avenue Greenlight.

Join your neighbors and friends on an art walk celebrating the season, local art, and the Inner Sunset. Participating galleries and businesses will offer something to sip and/or special seasonal promotions to take advantage of and enjoy while you shop, connect with neighbors, and support local art and business. RSVPs are requested.

Stop by Problem Library to learn more about The School of Other Fields, preview our upcoming Spring events, and peruse selections from our library, including a copy of our first Problem Library reader. We will have light non-alcoholic refreshments and a lush DJ set by Kia Kimera.

Whether you’re curious about what we do or just looking for a place to pause, we’d love to welcome you.

Every Saturday from 1–5pm: Open hours

We close out each week with open hours every Saturday at Problem Library. Come by, say hello, chat about what we’re up to, or simply spend some unstructured time in the space. Each month will also feature a special rotation of guest hosts, optional activities, and unique presentations: ambient DJ sets, chats about local history, record-spinning sets, and whatever else our guest hosts bring through the door.

This Saturday, we host the first informal gathering of what we’re calling Page Club, where anyone can bring a page from a book and read it aloud. No RSVP needed, no membership required. Just come by, read a page (if you like), and leave with a booklet of all the shared pages for your home library.

Come curious.
Leave with a page—or something more.
