Close out the year at Too Much Information #006

Too Much Information returns Saturday, November 22

Join us for Problem Library’s final gathering of the year as we shift into the coziness of the winter months with an ode to place and participation: Too Much Information #006.

Last fall, we reflected on the year to come and our vision of being a year-round educational space; of keeping the lights on. From our theme of ‘the habit of adventure’ in the spring that followed, to considering our gifts in the summer, we arrive this fall once again in reflection: of how the perception of the place we’re in changes how we choose to participate in it.

This TMI, our all-day love letter is dedicated to re-seeing here, now; to the possibility and expansiveness that reveals itself when, like other life pursuits we seek to lose ourselves in, we see San Francisco as “something bigger than ourselves”*.

The day will explore this idea in two parts: a morning session exploring San Francisco arts education history and a Bay Area movement practice and pedagogy, and an afternoon session devoted to the senses: with dialogue between local musicians, an experimental mixed score to archival San Francisco footage, and the launch of Problem Library’s first-ever custom scent. Between sessions we’ll join the Community Music Hangout in Golden Gate Park, a free music jam open to all on JFK Promenade.

It has been a full year for us at Problem Library, and we hope you’ll join us in celebrating before we dim our lights for the winter.
