Join us for a thoughtful lecture and open conversation about health, the experience of dis-ease, and the art of healing with chiropractor, surfer, and teacher Dr. Nick Wirtz.
For more than a decade, Dr. Nick has explored health and healing in the human body. As a chiropractor, he views his work as an art, a science, and a philosophy that defines health as harmony with your nature. His practice puts an emphasis on “holistic adjustment,” attending to mind, body, and environment to support people on their path to health.
Harmony is not a static condition but a kind of dance—a relational rhythm between our bodies and the natural forces that move around and through us. “Finding harmony” (and health) is not about facts and figures alone, but about our attention to feeling and experience. We find health when we listen for moments of ease and allow ourselves to rest in them. This is exceptionally hard to do.
Dr. Nick’s own educational and clinical career has been a journey toward balance by following the lead of ease. Through this experience, he has come to understand this as fundamentally an act of trust, of yielding to uncertainty in search of deeper balance. By trading control for harmony we can find something we may never have imagined: the divine gift of health.
Come be with us as we learn from Dr. Nick’s journey, reflect on the idea of divine giving, and contemplate what harmony might look like in our own lives.
